We are very happy to have Josef Nadek back on Bleak, with the third part of his "To Infect And Persist" series, where compilation tracks are compiled into one release. Josef Nadek is one of the most interesting projects in the Noise genre these days - radical and uncompromising, but with a love for details. Josef Nadek creates ultra dark atmospheres, scaring and haunting tracks, with a broad range of sounds. The Austrian project is as mysterious as it is extreme. Little to nothing is...

I†† is the project of Chris Hopper, unambiguously positioned in the Witch House/Ghost Drone genre. It is not that simple though. While I†† is obviously influenced by bands like Salem, Mater Suspiria Vision, oOoOO, White Ring and suchlike, it has a very unique approach. Probably it's not really sufficient to pigeonhole I†† as yet another Witch House act, just listen and you may discover there's more to it than that. Artist link: http://www.eyedoublecross.com/

Drugs For Drunks is the solo project of Diego de Regil, musician and video artist, whose music can be best described as an apocalyptic mixture of Drone, Industrial, Noise and Darkwave, more recent works with a taste of Witch House from the likes of Salem or White Ring. Using drum machines, synthesizers and guitars, his recordings and live sets cascade into huge, dismal walls of sound. He recently toured with Italian act Mushy, DOSE, Ritualz, El Resplandor and Douglas McCarthy of Nitzer Ebb. In...

"The Sound Of Leaves Growing" is the second album by 53 on Bleak, it contains 5 tracks created between 2007 and 2009. As on her previous album, Ivana Primorac plays all instruments herself, also recorded and mixed them on her own, and managed to maintain the unique atmosphere she creates by combining musique concrete with cold, electronic sounds and her sometimes only ghastly whispering voice. 53 welcomes you back in an infected world, allows you to be a spectator, but mind you, she...

This is the second official release by red.chamber, the project of Laridae third Bernhard Hansbauer. Invasion is a 45-minute piece of dark ambient drone sounds... not the easiest Laridae album so far, that's for sure! Imagine earth being invaded by not so friendly, discarnate entities, that's what Invasion is all about. Listen in solitude, in a darkened room... loud and open minded.

Passive Cable Theory is the project of belgian Bert Vanden Berghe, a very active musician, or rather sound/noise scientist, who does his own music as brunk, invertebrata and passive cable theory. he is also involved in The Returns, Karen Eliot and a couple of other projects. PCT is very experimental, atonal and chaotic - but surprises with sudden changes of mood and cathartic moments.

Josef Nadek a tyrolean based industrial/experimental project. "Mei Liab Isch Tot" (engl. 'my dear one is dead') contains three recordings dealing with tyrolean mythology, wrapped around the incidence of a child's death. not only with its cover, 'Mei Liab Isch Tot' paints a mythical picture, and drags the listener into a world of upside-down tradition. after the title track, which builds a not so romantic atmosphere around the death of a child, the second part ('s`längnosate Weibele'...

Kaldt (en: cold) was conceived as the music for a butoh performance performed by Sonja Salkowitsch. It is a sonic depiction of the long and cold winters of Norway, where the polar night lasts for many months, and the Aurora Borealis and the stars are the only sources of light. It was first shown in Copenhagen. Ipso Schaltwerk was born and grew up in Norway, but now resides in Vienna. Sonja Salkowitsch was born in Austria, grew up in Norway, and now resides in Berlin.
